“Why should we care about women’s representation in video games?”
“Nobody is going to want a female protagonist!
“Their target audience isn’t big enough to warrant any games!”
“Women aren’t as capable as men, they don’t belong in video games!”
“If more women started playing video games, maybe then they’d have a say in the matter!”
I’m gonna start calling boys by the wrong name on purpose to remind them how unimportant they are
"Your clothing is a form of non-verbal communication - you’re sharing something about you with the world without having to say anything. In communication, we adjust how we talk to different people in an effort to be better understood - you don’t talk to a 10 year old the same way you talk to a coworker, and you don’t talk to a coworker the same way you may talk to friends at a bar. This is because you know if you were to talk to a 10 year old like you talk to a friend at the bar, you know you wouldn’t be understood very well - so, you change your method of communication. This helps your message get across. If you choose to only talk one standardized way to all people, you will be misunderstood largely by most of them."
